Race Day Preparation


Below is a recommended checklist of items needed for proper race preparation. It is best to keep a "track bag" packed with everything necessary the night prior to competitions. Adequate preparation starts in the days prior to each meet and will lead to improved health, consistency, performance, and FUN!

24-72 Hours Before Meet:
  • Balanced Nutrition + Hydration
  • Recommended 8-10hrs of sleep

Meet Day Checklist:
  • Mask(s)
  • Adequate Pre-Race Meal(s) + Hydration
  • Uniform
    • DCL Bib # (Necessary for all DCL Meets)
  • Shoes/Spikes + Necessary Equipment
  • Weather Appropriate Clothing
  • Water Bottle
  • Pre/Post Race Nutrition
  • Necessary Medications
  • Prehab/Rehab Equipment
